How can I add new people to my address list? My requests to add new people is now working these days. Advise?

Are you using the beta version of Y! Mail? If so, are pop-up blockers stopping things from getting done?

lets say a new friend emailed you, ok when you open that email you should see something like this add contact or Add address in that email. just click it
