I come from a family of bed wetters. They don't do it on purpose!





There are electronic products that go under the sheet, and flash lights, buzz and so on if they become wet. Then the person makes himself get up and wash his face with cold water. This trains their brain to detect ';fullness'; BEFORE the unpleasant cold water.





I have seen these products work in as little as two weeks. I think there are drugs now that help, but I'd try the behavior training first.

First thing the brother needs to do is schedule a doctor's appointment with a urologist--a doctor specializing in kidney and bladder problems. The reason for his appoint is ';enuresis'; (en-YOUR-uh-siss).





The doctor will look for a physical reason, then if none is found, discuss several approaches to correcting the problem, from lifestyle changes (limiting liquids, limiting certain kinds of beverages) to deliberately stretching the bladder when awake to waking on a schedule to empty the bladder. There are also many ';alert'; systems which wake the sleeper, hopefully in time for a bathroom visit. There may also be drugs to help him conquer the problem.





This is a problem that many people have dealt with successfully, but it won't improve without professional help.
