My husband and I want to start trying for a baby I need advise from women who have irregular periods!?

Because my periods are messed up, sometimes they come every 30 days 28 days or 64 days. My past 3 periods have been way off, I dont even know when Im ovulating. And in the past 4 months no signs of pregnancy and we always have unprotected sex and we are both healthy and young. My husband and I usually have sex every night but the past 2 weeks we have been having sex every 2 or 3 days so more sperm can build up, to increase our chances. I really need some advise on how to get pregnant, when Im ovulating? Or has this ever happened to any women out there. Honestly Im not in rush to get pregnant, but I just want to know what is up with my body and why are my periods so irregular. What should I do! Or is there nothing to do? Any simillar stories or advise. (serious people only)My husband and I want to start trying for a baby I need advise from women who have irregular periods!?
My wife and I tried for almost a year, and ended up going to a fertility specialist. Long story short, we found out we were finally pregnant when we went to the specialist. We didn't need them after all! It took a long time for us though, and she had similar problems with very irregular periods. The specialist diagnosed her with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). We were about to start treatment when we discovered she was pregnant. The point being, it can take a long time to get pregnant, but keep at it. You may decide to see a specialist, and there are things they can do to help.

Good luck!

My periods were really irregular, I was skipping the 4 months of summer plus they never came at the same time every month the rest of the year either.

My dad is an ND (natural doctor) and he told me to make sure I was drinking half my body weight in ounces of water every day, %26amp; to quit eating anything with chemicals, refined sugar (including high fructose corn syrup) or white flour. And to make sure to eat at least 2 pieces of fresh fruit every day, a large salad %26amp; lots of whole grains (ezekiel 4:9 bread is awesome since you don't have to cook them), 1 tablespoon of flax oil is really good for you too, when used everyday, your skin glows %26amp; your hair shines %26amp; moisturizing is a thing of the past!

I tried it, and not only are my periods EXACTLY regular, I don't get sinus headaches anymore %26amp; I have lost weight. I'm not saying that I don't ever deviate from the diet, but I try really hard to stick to it %26amp; only every now %26amp; again go off it.
Hello!

You could ask your doctor about chaste berry extract tablets... they help to regulate your periods and increase fertility.

they also reduce pms.

Hope this helps you out and good luck with getting preggers!

Witty xx
I had this same problem, the first I did was to quit trying so hard, my OB GYN told me that if you are stressed out you are less likely to get pregnant. Next, go to the local drug store and buy an ovulation kit. This is like a thermometer that tells you when you are ovulating, which is the best time to try. I discovered that there were time I was ovulating even when I didn't have my period. There are other medical things you can do as well but i suggest you start with the meter. Some procedures are expensive and they are very trying both physically and emotionally. Just remember to relax and not get in a hurry you aren't necessarily going to get pregnant the first night you use the kit. Have fun trying to you can relax more if you try different positions and don't necessarily look at as making a baby and worrying about is each time going to get you pregnant. And to sometimes different ';angles'; help with sperm flow.
going on birthcontrol to regulate your cycle is the worst idea I have ever read... sorry to whoever posted that... but honestly. Women find it harder to regulate their cycles once coming off of bc due to the hormones... So, as a fellow irregular cycler I can give you some great advice that has helped me conceive twice in the last two years :)

For starters: You dont have to limit your sexual activity, those sperm regenerate within a matter of hours, and you can have sex multiple times a day if you want. Remember that a woman with a normal cycle (27 days) only has a 20% chance of conceiving, even if she has sex on her ovulation day. But when you have a funky cycle like yours, or my own... you need to know when that day is! Especially because it doesn't come around as often.

A great way to find this out is to chart your cycles with your body temperature, this will pin point your fertile days, and your actual ovulation day! After over 18months of trying, I finally started charting, and was pregnant only 2 months later! You can find tons of information on this website: http://www.fertilityfriend.com

Not only is it chopped full of information, but they have a wonderful message board where you can get ahold of many ladies going through the same thing. And its free. The site will teach you all you need to know about your cycle, how to chart, and what the signs mean. I hope it helps you out as much as it has help me. :) feel free to message me if you have any questions. I am always happy to help someone who is ttc
i read a book called taking control of your fertility, by toni weschler. she was very informative and helped me to know when i was ovulating and everything...she teaches you things they should teach in a class, it is not a hard read, she is very easy to read and understand...she really helped me understand my body and its functions better...with this book we realized that i was not ovulating and went and saw my ob/gyn and i had to go on clomid...did become pregnant on that...some advise don't get too frustrated at first when you dont become pregnant....it may take a few months....just remain calm...its almost like finding your mate it happens when you are not expecting it to....God Bless
I would go talk to Dr about getting the ovulation testing done,to see when you most likely to be ovulating. Maybe you are just trying too hard too. I know of someone who wanted a baby so badly and they kept doing everything they could think of to get pregnant, finally she went to the Dr and he said to forget about it,and wham..............she was pregnant in two months, but honestly would go talk to Dr about that ovulation testing............good luck...........:)
Go on birth control to regulate your period...And then try...Or see your gyn...See what the recommendation is...
here is a site.

good luck!!
Well first off, just to let you know don't give up hope. I am four weeks pregnant and been trying for almost one year. I myself have had very irregular periods. Have you been to a gyno? Well I went one year without a period so I went to a doctor and found out I wasn't ovulating very well, or very much. So I started birth Control to get me regulated. After that I have been on metformin for 5 months, and this was my second month on Clomid. I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. One thing that I did was not have sex every day. That is good you figured that out. Usually the reason for irregular periods is you are not ovulating or not ovulating very well. They can fix that. Good Luck to you!

I have the same problem with my cycle. It ranges from 22 days, to 34 days. But we tried for 1 1/2 years to get pregnant, when we were unsuccessful, we went to a doctor. That's the first step weather or not you are in a rush or not (to get pregnant). The second is to get on a multivitamin with folic acid.

There is one post that says to get on bc then go off to regulate periods. Although this does work for some women, it didn't work for me. And through testing the doctors found that although I was bleeding like a normal cycle, I wasn't ovulating like I should be. -There was no way for me to know this w/o having tests done.

So there are steps (~ and this is for those with or without regular cycles)

1.) Set up an appointment with your OB (make ur hubby go with you!)

~at this time you need to address any problems such as irregular cycle.

2.) Start taking a multivitamin with folic acid

~my OB provided this for almost my entire pg

3.) Believe it or not, stop trying so hard, and stop thinking about the problems.

~once my husband, and I (and our doc) gave up getting pg, that's when it happened
I think you can go to you obgyn and get hormone shots my cousin tried for 2 years then she took the shots and was pregnant within 4 to 6 months i think
Start charting your BBT. See what patterns you have and if you are even ovulating. You could be having anovulatory bleeding. After 2-3 months of charting with a clear ovulation if you are not pregnant go see your doctor. Bring the charts with you.

If you need help with charting let me know or check out the book ';Taking Charge of Your Fertility';. Also, the website www.fertilityfriend.com helps a bunch and is free.

I have irregular periods from being on birth control and my body has not figured itself out yet so I chart to see when I ovulate.
