Any advise for first time caravan holiday?

Hi, we are off this weekend to Primrose Valley - Haven Holiday with our two kids, 2 1/2 and 8 months, never been on this kind of holiday before and would be grateful for any advise, i.e what we need to take, what is there to do etc. Decent caravan and bed linen I know is provided but have to take towels, wash up liquid etc, assume there will be a shop nearby for essentials?Any advise for first time caravan holiday?
Take as much of your own supplies as you can carry the little shop's in the caravan parks charge well over the odds for basic cheap stuff,or if there is a shop near by (outside the park)use that ,bring hot water bottles for the beds cause it gets really cold at night even with heating and is really cold in the morning something to do with all the vents on the floor ,the laundrette will cost a fortune as will the bar at night if you drink ,

Caravan holidays are great for the kids mine enjoyed them for years ,use the free entertainment for the kids as they will love it and so will you also you might want to bring a torch with you as at night some of the parks are not very well lit ,

Hope you have a nice holiday .Any advise for first time caravan holiday?
Think you will be pleasantly surprised usually the facilities are pretty good with plenty of things to amuse the children. There is usually a supermarket on site but you wont be a million miles away from a Salisbury's or Tesco. Just take the sort of clothes you would normally take on any holiday in the UK, together with enough food to tide you over for a few days. Haven sites usually have take aways and on site restaurants if you need to take a cooking break and a club house with family entertainment usually quite good. We take our own caravan so we take everything including the kitchen sink.

I hope you have a great time and enjoy the freedom that a caravan holiday has to offer good luck.
Yeah there will be a shop but they are ridiculous prices so take as much with you as you can. I always remember when i was little going on caravan holidays and i loved them. Some suggestions are to take take some board games and colouring books incase the weather is pants but i have my fingers crossed for you that it wont be. Is there a a beach at primrose valley? if so take a bucket and spade. For your 8 month old just take a few toys there's not a lot they will do but they'll be happy if they have something to chew on and throw about. Your 2 and a half will just love not being at home as its a new place and will be very curious. Maybe take a small paddling pool and fill it with them plastic balls both of them will love it. Dont forget loo roll. Hope you have a lovely holiday.
You have probably been to there website but i thought i would post it anyway as it has got information of whether theres a shop onsight, what sort of activities you can do onsight and a lot more. I am due to go on a haven holiday in september when my son's 15months. So good luck :-)

I loved it when my two girls were growing up, and they did too. Children have more freedom, plus you can go to bed when you like and so can the children. We found it free and easy, and although you have meals to make it does not seem such a chore in a Caravan. Enjoy and have a great time.
yes! goggles if there is a swimming pool. Loo roll is probably sold there but could be over expensive...

sun tan lotion, nappies, face wipes, wine, toys!, coats, swimsuits, crossword puzzles, dvds, telly??, toaster?, extra pillows!!! and soft blankets for the little ones cos usually the blankets/ duvets provided are quite itchy and hard feeling..

good luck and have fun!!
