Can anyone advise of nice places to visit in the Seefeld/Innsbruck area of Austria?

We are leaving 30 August for one week and will be visiting Innsbruck, Linderhof %26amp; Oberamergau. We do not want to travel great distances and do not speak German. Can anyone advise of nice places to visit in the Seefeld/Innsbruck area of Austria?
While in Austria, eat a Sacher tort! You don't have to dine at the famous Sacher restaurant, there are cafes that serve the delicious chocolate tort. In Innsbruck, take the Swarovski tour and afterwards eat some gelato! In Innsbruck, go up to the ski jump that was used in the winter olympics. That spot has the most perfect view of the city. Also see the birthplace of Mozart. We were told by our tour guide that actually going up and seeing the birthplace wasn't work it, but you might want to ask locals.

There is a little village East of Innsbruck called Tulfes, that is 14.4 km (about 23 mins). There is a small hotel that has a cafe and bar. Also in the town there dairy. The lady that runs the dairy also makes Schnapps. This area is so beautiful.

I would also recommend Salzburg for your next trip! If somehow you make it to Salzburg, that is where The Sound of Music was made and there still is a lot of landmarks to the movie there.

Good luck! Can anyone advise of nice places to visit in the Seefeld/Innsbruck area of Austria?
Seefeld is a nice place for walking, possibly the best reason for going there.......Innsbruck is beautiful......
I have been to Oberamergau, about 14/15 years ago to see the Passion Play that they put on every 10 years. From what I remember it is a lovely town with pretty houses that have paintings on them and lots of little souvenir shops that sell beautiful carved wooden gifts. The theatre is also worth a visit. I actually stayed in Seefeld when I was 9 (24 years ago!). I don't remember alot but it has a very pretty church and I went up Mount Weterstein (sp?!) on a chair lift %26amp; I think they have an olympic ski jump there. Is there a castle at Linderhof? It seems to ring a bell, I'll have to dig out my old photos....!
Innsbruck is the Capital of the Tryol province of Austria. I have not been there in many years, but you must check out the Golden Roof, I seem to remember that there is fairly good shopping. Also check out the winter ski jump (from the top you get a direct view of the main graveyard - there was a rumour that in the Olympics a jumper got to the top looked at the grave yard %26amp; refused to jump).

Oberamergau is world famous for the Passion Play held every 10 years. There should be a lot of stuff relating to that (Also bearing in mind that it is a Catholic Country)

While in Austria, you MUST try traditional Apple Strudel also a chocolate / marzipan sweet called MOZARTKUGELN.

Do not worry about speaking German (although they insist on calling is AUSTRIAN), English is the second language and virtually everyone speaks it.

A really useful phrase is GROOS GROOT, its a sort of greeting.

Have a great time.
