If anyone tries to sell you something and they say it's the greatest thing ever and you have to buy it right now you have no time to decide if you are making the right decision don't walk away from them RUN!





Now consider that the Global Warming proponents are trying to sell you on their theory and they say if you don't act right now without thinking it through first then...don't just walk away from them RUN!What can you advise to the many people especially the youth regarding this matter, Global Warming? ?
I advise anyone currently in school to realize their educators are individuals who never achieved anything in life. In ages past, educators were experts in their respective fields. They were people who'd actually made a living out in the ';real world';, before settling down to teach their trade to others.





Today's teachers are little more than dispensers of books, regurgitating whatever the author of the latest textbook put into print. If the texts didn't come with ';teacher's edition'; answer keys, teachers would fair little better than their students on the text-based tests.





Many devote as much faith to college professors (the authors of today's textbooks) as others devote to Jesus himself. Remember: textbooks are written by individuals. They do not come from some ultimate truth, collective source of human knowledge. Individuals are fallible. Individuals with no experience are doubly so.





In the case of man-made global warming...understand it never showed up in textbooks 15 years ago (and it'll be absent from them again, 15 years from now).
I think most are confused by the fact that yes in the last 150 years the global average temperature has gone up by .7c. The point seen by skeptics is that 1850 was at the bottom of the Dalton solar minimum and so unnaturally cold. The real question is the basic claims made by the AGW fraternity as a priest uses the mantras and dogma of his church.





First is that it has never been this hot (1998) in all of human history.


Well any decent historian or geologist knows that it has been considerably hotter at least 5 time previously in the last 8,000 years and one of those was only 600 years ago and another only 1,000 years ago. Both of these warm periods are exceedingly well documented historically and scientifically.





Second is that it has never gotten so hot so fast in all of human history. Well in that incident just 600 years ago it went in about 100 years from about 1.5c colder than present to 1c hotter than present (1998) and back to 1.5c colder. Historians dealing with the period and geologists worldwide document this 1400 event. Knowing these basic facts since my school days when they were covered as part of the basic education leaves me highly suspicious of the quality of the education children are getting these days.





Well the discussion still comes down to facts against opinion and all the facts still show that the current climate optimum is the coolest in 8,000 years. In fact of the 4 climate optimums in the last 1,000 years it is still the coolest and from onset to peak has been twice as long as the preceding ones. All the evidence proves our current climate is perfectly natural and that the alarmists are at war with harmless plant food that actually helps keep the planet from overheating at one end of the spectrum and getting to cold at the other. It is a climate moderator not a driver. All the listed factors of AGW still lack any even basic studies that warrant calling it a theory and in fact scientifically it does not even warrant being called a hypotheses. So far the best it can be termed is a political talking point, nothing more.
The earths climate has been going up and down for billions of years. I'd like to know where the so called global warming was last winter when it was 30 below 0 every night! Have you heard of the radio broadcast on oct.30,1938 Orson Welles reading The War of the Worlds a sci-fi novel written by H.G. Wells? A lot of people thought martians were landing on earth to take over! Some people will believe just about anything.
Do some research of both sides of the argument and make your own decision and don't just accept the beliefs of others.


Think for your self.
Be certain that you ask your teachers/professors for ALL sides of the Global Warming (man-caused) issue.
Don't be an overzealous hippy! we have enough of them already!
Better late than never.
Pay attention to REAL science in school. Not this new age nonsense.
U young people are being scammed out of your future.
its too late to prevent some changes as they are already happening, but its not too late to prevent strong warming that will threaten lives and livelihoods of many people. what we achieve in de-carbonising the world's economies in the next 10 years will be crucial.
It's definitely not too late to act. It's too late to completely prevent global warming, but if we don't do anything to slow it down, we will be in an even worse situation. The sooner we act, the better.
