Are tlle kitchen countertops difficult to keep clean? I am planning kitchen remodel and need advise ?

what surface is the best, stainless steel, granite, corian? Are tlle kitchen countertops difficult to keep clean? I am planning kitchen remodel and need advise ?
Yes. Food gets in the grout and is tough to get out.

Granite is the current fashion, but it's expensive.

Corian is nice because if you damage it you can sand it out.Are tlle kitchen countertops difficult to keep clean? I am planning kitchen remodel and need advise ?
Do Silestone. It's stronger than granite, and it doesn't have to be sealed every year like granite. Looks a little like granite, but less ';marbled.'; It's gorgeous and performs amazingly well. We have it everywhere in the house and love it!
the best bang for your buck is corian from what i understand. Most of my uncles build houses and they all rave about how good of a product that is.
Yep there a pain....

Go with Granit, Courian, or just a lamianate....
If you have the money, go Corian. If the tiles are seated properly, and the grouting is properly sealed, then it really isnt that hard to keep clean. Just takes yearly maintenance to keep it that way. I.E. re-applying the sealers..Corian, although it IS superbly easy to clean, it's like your glass topped stoves. Abrasive cleaners can scratch the surface..
yes pick something else would suggest corian
Don't do it. It is just too butt ugly.
If you're planning to remodel do it right and go Corian.
The grout can be tough to keep clean, and the tile surface might become scratched. Granite is nice, but very expensive. Corian is very durable. You can cut right on the counter without ruining the surface. Stainless steel is used in many commercial kitchens, and is easy to clean; however, the look may not be desirable for a home kitchen.
