Any advise to make single-glazed windows draft proof DIY?

Greedy landlord does not want to replace old shitty windows in flat. We are left in cold flat, and heating prices rising... need to do something to keep flat warm.Any advise to make single-glazed windows draft proof DIY?
I done this job very easily, there is a supplier called 'DIY' Plastics they have a system that is fitted to the window frame by magnetic strips which can be easily removed when they are not required.

They are based in the UK but I'm sure that this system would be available in many other countries, it works as good a professional double glazing and is a lot cheaper, they have various grades of rigid plastic sheeting and will even cut it to the size you need .

Hang heavy curtains. Can you put a heater below the window. It will help even if turned down low. Did you know that even if a window were airtight, you would still get a draught from it. Because the outside is colder than inside, the inside air will cool on contact with the window. Cool air falls, causing a draught.
Purchase a window insulation kit. Its a plastic (shrink film) sheet that you adhere to the frame of your window (indoors), then slightly shrink with a hair dryer to creat a taut air tight seal. This space of trapped air acts as an extra insulation barrier.

you can find them at most harware stores.

See Link for example.
In the DIY stores you can buy 'double glazing on a roll' Its lie a plastic film to go over the top of existing windows. I think you shrink it to fit via a hairdryer
Easiest way to keep the draught out is to seal up the wndows with masking tape, and take it off when (or if !) things get warmer next Spring.
We bought some stuff from a diy store - it looked like plastic and you sort of sealed it on the window with a hair dryer - worked a treat
hi

I installed secondary double glazing using a sheet of Polycarbonate plastic
