Im looking for a digital camera that fits this description, what do you advise me on getting?

i want a digital camera that has sharp photos, fast, optical zoom 10x or more. i dont want to spend over $300. what camera would you say is good? fuji, sony, canon. which models?Im looking for a digital camera that fits this description, what do you advise me on getting?
My first suggestion would be a Panasonic TZ1. There is also a newer model, the TZ3 that is more expensive.

Alternatively, you may want to try looking for Canon S3 IS, the prices for this camera may have lowered since its replacement, the S5 IS was released a month or two ago.

Both of these cameras will not have good quality photos when shooting in dark indoor situations (e.g. theatre, play). The Fuji S6000fd is better for this, but it does not have true image stabilization.

Check the reviews on the sources.Im looking for a digital camera that fits this description, what do you advise me on getting?
You can get a Fujifilm, cheaper than Sony %26amp; takes great pics, own one since last summer, quality is great.
Under $300 for a 10X camera is really pushing it.

One way yo do this it to settle for ';last year's'; model.

Wait for Sunday advertising flyers ...there are always specials.

If you find a camera that is close to your specifications, compare prices on a web site like www.pricegrabber.com

Be sure to choose a camera that is Image Stabilized.
