The people who have answered are all complete idiots, with no understanding about anything. So let me simplify this for you..

Unless you want to spend $300 to buy garbage, the Matrox Triple Header ToGo, then use my method. The MTH is a piece of garbage - it tricks your computer into thinking you are only using 1 monitor, and splits the signal into 3 different ones. You sacrifice a ton of quality, and I can almost guarantee you your computer will not be able to support it.

There are multiple things you can do depending on what kind of video card you already have, and the motherboard of your computer. If your computer supports AGP, it will most likely support only PCI (not PCIe, the 'e' meaning 'express'). If so, buy an AGP card that has dual DVI output (almost every video card these days has that), and then buy a regular PCI video card (NOT PCIe). You can connect your two monitors via DVI to your AGP video card, and the third monitor to the PCI video card. The rest is software configurations in Windows Display manager. If your monitors are VGA (if they are CRT monitors, a.k.a. not LCD flat panel monitors), then you will need to buy a VGA to DVI convertor for each CRT monitor. If all your monitors are flat panels, you do not have to worry about this.

If your computer does not support AGP, then it supports PCIe and PCI. Buy a PCIe card with dual-DVI support, and either another PCIe video card or another PCI video card - they can be as crappy or as high-end as you want. The rest remains the same.

Almost all modern video cards will support 2 monitors each. However, there are no motherboards that are still being produced that support more than 2 AGP cards. Therefore, you can have two times as many monitors as your computer can support video cards, assuming each video card has dual output. However, Windows XP has a cap at 10 monitors; I believe Windows Vista increases this cap. If not, I believe there is a patch you can find on Google that will allow you to support more than 10 monitors on Windows XP.

All you other idiots need to learn before you spew off garbage.I want to connect 3 LCD monitors i in a Single Computer. Pls advise How %26amp; what is cable specification PLS hlp
not sure there is a maximum length but the way you connect 3 monitors is to have a video card with the latest drivers and capacity to use spanning.

Nvidia has a control panel extension that walks you through connecting multiple monitors and there's a setup to how to display what for the monitors, like which one to use as the ';main'; and whether to clone the desktop or span it across and how to display full-screen video. I have done it with 2 monitors but haven't tried it with three, but its basically the same.

You can setup a y cable to connect 2 monitors to the same out so if you have a card that supports dual output you could hook 2 y adapters and have up to 4 monitors.

If you have an ';on-board'; video card (part of the motherboard) you could install a pci or agp video card with dual outs and connect the 3 monitors. XP supports up to 10 monitors, and there are several ways to hook them up. From the simplest, installing extra video cards and connecting the monitors, then setting up spanning. To the more expensive, getting a switch box

most graphic cards in the market offers only 2 output, in order to output to 3 monitors, u will need a piece of equipment: Matrox Triple Head To Go. It looks like a box, where it has a port that connects to the graphic card, and an additional 3 ports that outputs to the monitors

this little guys works by tricking the graphic to think that it is connecting to one fat (or tall) monitor, and the box would split the signal accordingly to the 3 monitors for proper display
Your video card needs to support it firstly.

Most systems video cards don't, honestly i haven't tested a 3 monitor system just a 2. but i am sure the same idea is there.

You upgrade your video card to one that support multipale monitors and than you just use your monitors and connect like yopu normally would to your video cards port.

Than go change your screen res to allow dual or multi screens.
WinXP supports up to 10 monitors. Many video cards will support 2 monitors. If you install two such cards, then you may connect 4 monitors. Add video cards as long as you have empty PCI slots in the PC.
u need a device called a video splitter...1 input and multiple outputs(uses VGA cables also called D-Sub 15 pin)...i have a VGA cable that is about 150ft...and i do not need an amplifier for that...the signal travels with no problem over that distance
ITs pretty simple, just use one ATI AGP card with dual interface something like Radeon 7000 or X600 and SIS300/305 .Sis are cheap analog cards, even if you plug these cards with mix match cables you are good.

I have X600 ATI Radeon and Sis300 working good.

Cheap and simple.

Enjoy!!
