I have been asked to take medication for six months. I am 40 yrs. Will it delay chances of my concieveing?I have been told that I have a TB infection in my uterus %26amp; have to go treatment. What it is pls advise?
Are you asking about the TB or the medication?

The infection can cause infertility, depending upon how much of your reproductive tract it has affected.

You should ask your doctor about whether you can try to have a baby while taking your medication. If not, it will delay your chances of conceiving by six months.I have been told that I have a TB infection in my uterus %26amp; have to go treatment. What it is pls advise?
whitelil is wrong, you can get TB in any organ, according to the Center for Disease Control, a major US Gov't organization.

On a side note, you probably shouldn't be sleeping with anyone because you could spread TB to them. So it will delay your chances of having a baby, if only because a guy doesn't want TB bacteria from ya!
TB is a respiratory disease and affects the respiratory system. It is very contagious when you come in contact with someone who has active TB.. are you sure they told you in your uterus? are you sure it was TB? you better get a second opinion fast. that MD sounds like a fake.
you should take the medication. having TB may have already done some scarring to your uterus/tubes/ovaries and may make conceiving harder esp if you don't take the treatment. this is very serious, please take the medication.
